Live Bands

Hoppers Swing Band

Hoppers Swing Band is an ensemble of jazz musicians from Porto who brighten up the dancing nights of the city playing swing and blues themes. At PBx they will present an all Blues repertoire interpreting old times standards.

Hoppers Swing Band

Peter Storm & the Blues Society pay a tribute to Blues by interpreting themes from a variety of styles, from great musicians such as Corey Harris, James Harman, Buddy Guy, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Tommy Tucker and Magic Slim, among others.

This energetic trio is composed by José Reis (Bass) and Jorge Oliveira (Drums), two experienced musicians who have been part of several renowned Portuguese Blues bands, and Pedro Fidalgo (Voice, Guitars and Harmonica) a young and talented musician with a powerful and deep voice. PSBS blends two generations of musicians with the same passion for Blues. Be ready to shake your bones till dawn!

DJ Bernardo

Talisman is the amazing venue we got for our 3 nights of dance. This is also a restaurant, where the Saturday dinner will be held. No need to search for a table in the city, looking for nice company to eat or wonder how to reach the dance venue; it’s all on the same fabulous place!

There’s an intimate atmosphere in this centenarian building, full of elegant details and distinctive architecture - right in the center of Porto night life!

Having a blues exchange in a city you’ve never visited before is a great reason for you to come to PBX, but we are going to give you a couple more hints on why you should come and have a good time dancing with us.

A bit of geography and history...

Portugal is a seaside country with a bit of latin blood. We are used to cosy temperatures, sunny days and not that rainy winters. Even though it is a small country it has something for every taste - from beautiful sunsets on the beach to lovely forests and hills; from picturesque small villages to big metropolitan cities; from warm summer days to snowy kind of winters… Portugal has it all!

Porto, the northern capital, is the 2nd biggest city in Portugal and it’s surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the west, rio Douro (golden river) on the south, friendly nature hills on the east and picturesque fish villages on the north. Porto is in many aspects a big city with a lively cultural, artistic and social life, even though the city centre is relatively small so you can easily walk around. Porto has many beautiful monuments that inspired movies and books, delicious food with some specialities that you can’t miss and friendly people just around the corner willing to help you.

We do want to keep a bit of suspense so we won’t tell you all about our city right now. But we are thrilled to welcome you and tell you more during your visit to Porto.

Come and dance with us!

Means "thank you" in portuguese.
